Berol Rapidesign Circleometer - Drafting Measuring Compass - Metric - RC-4
This listing is for a Rapidesign Metric Circleometer (RC-4).  Make circles from 1/2" to 6" (1.27 cm to 15.24 cm) in diameter...as measured in metric mm or cm.  Also, an existing circle can be measured by simply reading the position of the hole that aligns with circumference of your circle.  Use with a fine point mechanical pencil or technical pen.
Easy to use:  For example, to draw a 12.4 cm diameter metric circle:
Locate Circleometer over the center of the circle by aligning the cross hairs with the center point of your circle.  Or alternately, guide the center point to the circle center.
Press the centerpin firmly into the paper.
Rotate the number 4 on the outer scale to the twelve o'clock position.
Move your pencil or technical pen down the 4mm radial line to the hole located in the space containing the number 12.  This is the digital location for a 12.4 cm diameter circle.
Insert a fine point mechanical pencil or technical pen in the hole and rotate the Circleometer, maintaining a slight outward pressure.  Make sure the pencil (or pen) is held perpendicular to the paper to avoid breaking the point.
Holding the pencil (or pen) as low as possible will reduce the tendency to break the point.
There is no need to hold the Circleometer while drawing unless you are making hidden lines or arcs.  If so, use the fingertips of the opposite hand as a guide. Please see the super size photo for more detail.  Photo is of an actual item. This item is NEW, Old Stock. NOS
